She spoke on the subject of the conference, “His Eye Is On the Sparrow and Me,” recounting her growth as a minister of the gospel, and his omnipotent loving kindness and provision in our lives.

Pastor King kept the audience captivated with her thoughts in her unique manner and, sometimes, humorous presentation. Preaching the gospel is nothing new to this young woman, as she was called into the ministry at the age of 12 years. She delivered her first revival sermon at Hamlin Foursquare Church. Pastor King and her brother Joshua were known as the Rolling Thunder on a regular weekly television show that was held each Saturday at midnight.

She became known as the Midnight Pastor because her program was held at midnight Sunday morning on KTXS, KTAB, and Fox television stations. Pastor King graduated from Hope Chapel Christian School followed by seminary studies at Life Pacific College in San Dimas, California, and was licensed and ordained through Christian Impact Ministries in El Paso.
She authored a book titled “Write the Vision and Make It Plain: A Devotional Commentary.”

She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in pastoral leadership through Emmanuel Caribbean University.

While speaking at Wylie, Pastor King emphasized her subject for the evening with a testimony that recounted God’s goodness, mercy and grace. His love was shown unconditionally in times when she felt unsure and walked away. Still, God watched over her. His eye was on the sparrow, and they were surely on Pastor King.

The largely attended dinner included women from Wylie and other churches drawn by Pastor King, known for her speaking capabilities, kindness and community support through her position as manager and disc jockey at Christian Radio Network 94.1FM.

She was married to David King in 2008, and they are the parents of one son, Sebastian.

Pastor King exhibits a spirit of generosity and dedication to her parishioners, fellow Abileneans and religious community that is a model for all of us to follow.
