Young Scholars taking a break this month

The Young Scholars who write regularly for the West Texas Tribune are taking a summer break as they get ready to start the new school year. They’ll be back in the September issue.

If you’d like to take a look at some of their past columns, visit our website at www.westtexastribune.org and click on the Young Scholars tab in the menu bar. The columns are featured by author.

The West Texas Tribune is seeking more young people from Abilene and the area to share their thoughts with our readers through the Young Scholars program. If you know of a young person (elementary through high school) who would like to write for the West Texas Tribune, contact Floyd Miller by email at [email protected].

The Young Scholars program was started in 2023 to train writers for future generations. Starting in September, you will be reading stories written by students from the elementary grades through high school.
