Abilene ISD to offer Free Summer Meals Program starting June 2

Abilene ISD will kick off its 2025 Summer Nutrition Program on Monday, June 2, offering free breakfast and lunch to all children ages 18 years and younger at locations across the city.

The program, sponsored by the AISD Student Nutrition Department, aims to ensure that children have access to nutritious meals while school is out. Meals will be served Mondays through Fridays at most sites; the Alliance for Women & Children will have meals Mondays through Thursdays in June.

Families can find a complete list of meal sites, serving times, and other program details by calling 211 or visiting the district’s summer meals webpage at www.abileneisd.org/summermeals.

Meals will be served at the following locations:

• Alliance for Women & Children, 1350 North 10th St. Breakfast: 7:30–8 a.m., Lunch: 11 a.m.–noon
• Abilene Zoo, 2070 Zoo Lane. Lunch only: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• Mall of Abilene, 4310 Buffalo Gap Road. Lunch only: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• Martinez Elementary Boys & Girls Club, 1301 Clinton St. Lunch only: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• New Horizons, 294 Medical Drive. Breakfast: 8–9 a.m., Lunch: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• Redbud Splash Pad, 3125 S. 32nd St. Breakfast: 8–9 a.m., Lunch: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• YMCA Redbud, 1101 N. 1st St. Breakfast: 7:45–8:15 a.m., Lunch: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Additionally, meals will be available at the Children’s Art & Literacy Festival on Thursday, June 12.

Breakfast and lunch times may vary slightly by location, and meals are available for dine-in only. Adults are not permitted to eat off a child’s tray.

The program will run through July 24.  Meals will not be served on June 19, July 3 and July 4.
