My life as a sixth grader
By Gormen Bellepu/Young Scholar
A day in the life of a sixth grader is pretty fun. In sixth grade, we get a lot more freedom than in elementary school, such as walking freely, not having assigned seats and more. I think that kind of helps with responsibility.

The work is so much more different because it’s so new, but they teach it to us and it slowly starts to make more sense.
I think sixth grade is the peak to real life because you start to learn things about school and just life in general, and you start to learn things that were a big deal in elementary aren’t that big of a deal now.
We also have seven classes, so we have to learn so many different things in eight or seven hours, which I’ve gotten used to, but sometimes it’s hard.
One thing that people get used to is not having recess. I really think the main reason is because we have some fun days when we get to go outside.
My favorite thing about being a sixth grader is the morning because it’s not as crazy, so it’s really calm.
Overall being a sixth grader is pretty fun. Do you want to be a sixth grader?
