KOHL’S DEPARTMENT STORES REWARDS VOLUNTEER EFFORTS OF 165 TEXAS YOUTH THROUGH KOHL’S CARES® SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Localyouth volunteers receive Kohl’s gift card and chance to receive $1,000 regionalscholarship for outstanding community service MENOMONEE Falls, Wis., June 27, 2012– Today, the Kohl’s Department Stores’ Kohl’s Cares® Scholarship Program will recognize more than 2,200 young volunteers nationwidewho have made a positive impact in their communities through volunteerism. Onehundred sixty-five youth from Texas will each receive a $50 gift card andrecognition certificate from Kohl’s to honor their community service efforts.In 2012, Kohl’s celebrates its 12th year of rewarding remarkableyoung volunteers. These winners qualify for the chanceto receive a $1,000 regional scholarship for post-secondary education, whichKohl’s will award in July. Of the more than 200 regional winners, 10 nationalwinners will each receive a total of $10,000 in scholarships and Kohl’s willdonate $1,000 to a nonprofit organization on each national winner’s behalf.
