Lydia Long

Dr. Lydia Long is running for the Prect. 1 Justice of the Peace. As an active Abilenian, not afraid to get involved, she gets our votes. She has been instrumental in the Camp Barkeley Dog Park, on the boards of The Center for Contemporary Arts, Taylor County Historic Commission, Greater Abilene Kiwani’s Club and Abilene Women’s Club to name just a few. These committees choose her because of her fair minded intelligence, integrity, experience and her education.{{more}}I feel the Old Town Abilene Neighborhood Association, OTANA, is one of the better organizations she has originated. Run by neighborhood members, it has been better able to get enforcement of city laws in the clean-up of private property in this area. Most homeowners want their neighborhood clean and attractive. Lydia has been a resident of Abilene for over 10 years. A large majority of us are “newcomers”. Such as our neighbors at Dyess AFB, military retirees, college grads finding employment in Abilene and many other reasons. Lydia Long is the most qualified with 22 years in the Criminal Justice field teaching and training in specialized criminal justice fields. You can go to www.Facebook.com/Lydia Long For JP for all of her credentials. We hope she gets your votes!Arlene Shivers, Abilene
