Independence Day Weekend
- Saturday, July 4 — Abilene Community Band’s 50th Anniversary/America’s 250th Concert. Free concert celebrating the band’s 50th year and America’s 250th anniversary. Free hot dogs and popcorn while supplies last. 6–8 p.m., Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest.
- Saturday, July 4 — Fourth of July Fireworks Show. 5601 W. Stamford St., Abilene, starting approximately 9:30 p.m.

- Tuesdays, July 7, 14, 21 & 28 — Story time with the Abilene Public Library paired with art exploration at the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature (NCCIL), 102 Cedar St., 2–3 p.m.
Mid-to-Late July
- Monday July 6 — The Discovery Creation Museum presents “In God We Still Trust,” 7 to 9 p.m., Abilene Heritage Square.
- Thursday, July 23 — Jerry Seinfeld. Abilene Auditorium at the Abilene Convention Center, 6 p.m.
- Friday, July 24 — Jerry Seinfeld (second performance). Abilene Auditorium at the Abilene Convention Center, 7 p.m.
- Saturday, July 25 — Summer Bash with Baby Bash. Vybz Night Club, Abilene, 9 p.m.
- Tuesday, July 28 — “The Entertainer” with Mr. Will. Part of the Abilene Public Library system’s summer kids’ performance series. Main Library @ the Square, Library Community Room.
- Friday, July 31 — The Grace Museum will host an artist reception and gallery talk featuring photographer Ann Stautberg. Attendees will have a chance to hear about her large-scale night photography and see her exhibition, “Ann Stautberg: Night Works,” on view at the museum. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a reception with light refreshments and an exhibition preview, followed by an artist talk by Stautberg. - July 1 – July 3 — Texas Cowboy Reunion (96th annual). Stamford, Jones County. Grand Parade Wednesday, July 1 at 4 p.m.; rodeo performances and related events run through July 3.
