Celebrating Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day to me is a time to celebrate women who have cared for me, protected me and loved me.  So, on Mother’s Day we give my mom gifts cards, chocolate and lots of other stuff. One year we gave my mom a super big card with her favorite chocolates, and she loved it.

In other places like Mexico and Brazil, they give stuff like colorful flowers and perfumes, while in France they give makeup, flowers and sweets.

In America, we celebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday in May, but in other countries, like Mexico, it’s celebrated on a specific date, such as May 10.

I think Mother’s Day is a good holiday because it shows our appreciation to mothers because they do so much for us. They do a lot, so I think they should have a day where they can enjoy themselves.

How do you celebrate Mother’s Day?
